Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition is seeking a Bus Assistant to support the Bus Driver in transporting children safely on the school bus. You will help supervise children, ensure seating, and coordinate with staff and families about the children's needs and center activities.

The role focuses on safety, positive interactions, and proper documentation. No prior education or experience is required, and the position offers a supportive environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children with the Bus Driver to ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised.
• Help load and unload children safely from the bus following procedures.
• Ensure correct children enter/exit and are released to authorized persons.
• Make sure all children are buckled in seat belts or car seats.
• Secure children's belongings and return them to the appropriate person after transport.
• Maintain vehicle capacity and keep the bus clean.
• Participate in transportation safety education with children.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
