Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) in Oregon is seeking a Bus Assistant to help transport children safely and create a healthy, educational bus environment.

You will work with the Bus Driver to supervise children, load/unload safely, ensure seat belts, maintain order, and handle notes and communications with families and staff.

No formal education or experience is required; pay range is $17.00–$19.71 per hour, with opportunities for growth within Oregon's Early Learning divisions.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience is required for this position.
• Within 6 months from date of hire, must meet Oregon's Early Learning Divisions requirements for a Teacher Aide II.
• Meets Oregon's Early Learning Divisions requirements for an Infant Toddler or Preschool Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver to supervise children and ensure safety on the bus.
• Load and unload children safely from the school bus.
• Ensure children are released to authorized persons.
• Assist in maintaining the bus and keeping records and communication with parents.
