Job summary

Cortica is seeking a dedicated School Behavior Technician (SBT) to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You will collaborate with educators and Cortica’s clinical team to help students succeed across their school day.

As part of Cortica's mission to deliver life-changing neurodevelopmental care, you will implement behavior intervention plans, collect progress data, and participate in trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BCAT or RBT credential within 30 days of employment, if required by district.
• Safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must maintain reliable transportation and be able to travel between sites.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute BCAT/BCAT-related responsibilities and skills within school settings.
• Provide direct implementation of behavior analytic services in one-on-one and small-group formats.
• Develop and implement individualized BIPs and skill acquisition programs aligned to IEPs.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into classrooms.
• Support student development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care.
• Collect data on progress and complete session notes and incident reports.
• Participate in classroom observations, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Follow safety and crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting.
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
