Job summary

Martinsville City Schools Central Administrative Offices in Virginia seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a 12-month, full-time role. The BCBA will develop behavioral support plans, conduct FBAs, and coach staff in ABA and CLM techniques across schools.

Collaboration with administrators and teachers is essential to improve student outcomes. The position reports to the Executive Director of Special Education and Student Services.

Qualifications

• Masters level degree or higher in a BACB approved field.
• BCBA Certified.
• Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
• Minimum of two years experience in a related field.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and collaboration with students, teachers, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Develop materials/resources and provide professional learning in ABA, CLM, and related methodologies.
• Plan and oversee program development using ABA principles.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and support Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Create and assist with behavior plans and ABA programs for skill deficits and behavior issues.
• Assist in managing unsafe behavior.
• Work with students and train staff on interventions.
• Design data collection systems and interpret data.
• Provide training and coaching on effective behavior interventions.
• Promote a positive school climate with staff and administration.
• Model effective behavioral and instructional programming with staff.
