Job summary

Fort Smith Public Schools is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavior analytic services and coaching within the Special Education department. The BCBA will support staff in implementing behavioral plans, conduct assessments, and ensure adherence to IDEA and state regulations.

The role involves collaboration with administrators and teachers across PreK–21 programs, delivering staff trainings, and contributing to safety and behavior management strategies district-wide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• BCBA certification required.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and challenging behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavior analytic services to support students in Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
• Conduct assessments and develop plans compliant with IDEA and Arkansas regulations.
• Train staff on behavior intervention techniques and supports.
