Job summary

Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch, Inc. seeks a Program Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team, delivering evidence-based therapy to youth with behavioral health needs.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with schools, families, and agencies, in both in-person and telehealth formats. The role requires MT licensure and a commitment to ethical care and youth safety.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or similar field from an accredited university.
• Criminal and child abuse background checks required by MT.
• Current Montana license: MT SWLC/PCLC/MFLC or LCSW/LCPC/MFLT depending on level.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group and family therapy to youth in school, community and home settings.
• Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Encourage parent/guardian interactions.
• Therapy in person and via telehealth.
• Intervene in crises calmly to ensure safety.
• Prepare and verify initial assessments, treatment notes, and other documents.
• Collaborate with treatment team and stakeholders; participate in meetings.
• Engage in CST/IEP meetings; coordinate services with agencies.
• Maintain knowledge of Montana Medicaid and licensure rules.
