Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a School Based Support Specialist to join our compassionate, collaborative team. You will provide support and activities outlined in comprehensive treatment plans, working with students, families, and community resources to promote recovery, resilience, and well-being.

The role applies behavioral science to help youth thrive at home and in the community, with a caseload managed under supervisory staff, coordinating with teams, and participating in client staffing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field is required.
• Two years of related work experience if degree is in an unrelated field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may count.
• AAS in Behavioral Health Support is valued.
• Experience delivering services to individuals with mental health or related needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Apply behavioral science principles to support youth in thriving in their home and community environments
• Employ a supportive educational approach that aligns with client treatment goals and fosters recovery and resilience
• Engage in activities designed to meet diverse student needs and objectives
• Manage a caseload, ensuring coordination with supervisory staff and participating in client staffing to identify challenges and set achievable goals for treatment
• Exercise discretion and sound judgment when providing emergency services to students in emotional crisis
• Collaborate closely with Brightli Operational Guidelines and adhere to professional ethical codes
• Support management requirements, including data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and contract maintenance
