Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a School Based Support Specialist to deliver intensive outpatient case management for youth in school settings. The role supports academic achievement, home and community engagement, and individualized treatment planning.

Responsibilities include coordinating with schools and families, maintaining timely documentation, and providing crisis intervention and home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related human services field.
• Or two years of related behavioral health experience with a four-year degree; OR any four-year combination of higher education and two years of qualifying experience.
• Associate’s degree in applied science in behavioral health support.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive outpatient case management aligned with treatment plans in school-based settings.
• Support students’ development of coping strategies and social-emotional functioning.
• Coordinate care with schools, families, and providers.
• Manage caseloads with timely, person-centered documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and follow-up, including outreach for missed appointments.
• Conduct home visits and community outreach as needed.
