Job summary

KLEO Community Lifecenter seeks a School-Based Group Mentor to provide structured mentoring at Wendell Phillips Academy High School under the KLEO L.I.F.T. Mentoring Program.

You will guide 8–10 students, deliver weekly sessions, track attendance, and collaborate with school leadership to support youth development and postsecondary readiness. Responsibilities include running evidence-informed sessions, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding CPS partnership guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring adolescents or high school youth.
• Ability to facilitate small-group discussions and manage dynamics.
• Familiarity with SEL, trauma-informed care, restorative practices.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and administrative tracking abilities.
• English proficiency; bilingual Spanish or Creole preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a cohort of 8–10 students with a 1:10 ratio.
• Lead weekly small-group mentoring sessions (4+ per group) during lunch or non-instructional blocks.
• Deliver the L.I.F.T. curriculum across core areas and activities.
• Track attendance and coordinate re-engagement with school staff and families.
• Collaborate with the L.I.F.T. Program Coordinator/Director and CPS guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
