Job summary

WES Health System is seeking a Group Leader for our After School program in Chicago. You will plan and execute structured activities in health, education, and recreation for children and adolescents, while coordinating with the Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities include supervision, attendance tracking, outreach to parents and community partners, and maintaining program records. The role emphasizes a Strength Based Youth Development approach and collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• Assist the Program Coordinator in maintaining policies and procedures of the program.
• Plan and provide a nurturing, structured after-school program for students.
• Engage with parents, school staff and community partners.
• Monitor attendance and outreach to families.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Enforce program rules with fairness and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and weekly activity planning.
• Supervise students during activities and breaks.
• Communicate with teachers and parents.
• Conduct outreach to recruit youth for programs.
• Act as a role model using a Strength Based Youth Development Approach.
• Coordinate with the Program Coordinator on emergencies.
• Attend orientation and trainings.
