Job summary

CWC seeks a dedicated Student Support Associate/After School Mentor to lead engaging, developmentally aligned activities for TK–8 students at a school site in Los Angeles. The role combines academic support, recreation, and enrichment with a focus on social-emotional learning.

Responsibilities include supporting the Lead Teacher in data-driven instruction, assisting with intervention for diverse learners, and promoting a safe, collaborative classroom and outdoor play environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree or minimum 48 college credits required.
• Experience in TK-8 or similar educational settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school programming for TK–8 students with safe, engaging activities.
• Support social-emotional learning and classroom culture.
• Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management techniques.
• Assist with assessments and data collection on student progress.
• Coordinate with Lead Teacher and enrichment staff to align activities.
