Job summary

Familylinks, Inc. seeks a School-Based Mental Health Therapist to bridge mental well-being and education in the Pittsburgh area.

You will provide group and individual therapy, crisis management, and collaborate with a treatment team to reduce behavioral and emotional barriers to learning for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Responsibilities include scheduling within the school day, documenting services in the EHR, and supporting families and school staff with strengths-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Active licensure (LPC/LSW/LCSW/PhD) required.
• Knowledge of child development and DSM-5-TR.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy within school-based teams.
• Manage caseload and schedule sessions within the school day.
• Document services timely in the EHR per policy.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety plans.
• Collaborate with educators and medical staff.
