Job summary

Family Service & Children's Aid seeks a School Based Therapist to support students at Northwest High School. The role includes delivering individual and group therapy, engaging with families, and coordinating with school staff to promote mental health and wellness.

Position involves a split schedule (roughly 20–30 hours in school and 20–30 hours in our office or community settings) with strong clinical supervision and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive agency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related profession, with State of Michigan licensure.
• Experience as therapist working with children, teens, and/or adults; trauma, mental health, and substance use preferred.
• Training in TF-CBT, EMDR and/or CBITS or willing to obtain training; costs covered and supervision provided.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group behavioral health services to students at Northwest High School.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff to support student mental health and skills development.
• Engage in school activities promoting positive mental health and wellness; align interventions with PBIS.
• Work with Principals, Social Workers, and paraprofessionals; participate in supervision and team planning.
