Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. seeks a School-Based Child & Adolescent Therapist to deliver comprehensive substance use and mental health services to children and families in school settings and at the Brunswick Child Office.

You will assess needs, develop treatment plans, provide counseling, and coordinate with schools, DSS, and healthcare partners. The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and NC licensure, with 2+ years of experience in substance use or mental health counseling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in human services or related field plus two years of progressive substance use/mental health counseling experience.
• Current North Carolina licensure in LCAS, Psychologist, Psychological Associate, LPC, LCSW, LMFT.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to children, adolescents, and families.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments including interviews, histories, mental status, and diagnoses.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and crisis plans.
• Deliver evidence-based substance use and mental health interventions within professional practice.
• Provide counseling at school sites and the Brunswick Child Office.
• Maintain regular contact with parents/guardians and coordinate with schools and community providers.
• Complete clinical documentation such as assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Respond to emergency referrals and participate in community education and outreach.
