Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in southeastern North Carolina seeks a Therapist for its Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program in Bladen County. The position provides counseling to children, adolescents and families, with many sessions at school sites.

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc., a recognized leader in substance abuse, mental health, rape crisis, prevention and criminal justice services in southeastern North Carolina, has an opportunity for a Therapist for our Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program in Bladen County, NC.

JOB TITLE: Therapist- Child and Adolescent Day Treatment

Provides a full range of substance use and mental health disorder therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and their families. Primary duties include counseling children, adolescents, and their families - with much of this taking place at various school sites. Performs regular therapist functions during school vacations and summer months.

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited program with a master’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICSENSE: Possession of North Carolina licensure as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist
