Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in Brunswick County, NC, seeks a Qualified Professional – School-Based to provide clinical services in school and community settings.

You will develop person-centered plans, lead therapeutic groups, coordinate with families and schools, and maintain thorough documentation while supporting youth with behavioral health needs. This role requires NC QP qualifications and a valid driver’s license. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field.
• Two (2) years of post-bachelor’s experience working with a mental health population.
• Meets North Carolina requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 for a Mental Health Qualified Professional (QP). Two (2) years of documented experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapeutic and skill-building interventions in school and community settings.
• Support behavioral functioning, coping skills, social skills, and educational success.
• Develop and implement Person-Centered Plans.
• Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.
• Collaborate with families, schools, treatment providers, and community partners.
• Provide psychoeducation related to mental health and substance use.
• Monitor client progress and coordinate transitions to appropriate services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Perform approved physical restraints when clinically necessary and in accordance with required training and organizational policy.
