Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Qualified Professional – School-Based to join our Child & Adolescent Day Treatment team in Pender County.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM and focuses on delivering individual and group therapy, collaborating with schools and families, and ensuring timely documentation and safety training compliance. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, two years of relevant mental health

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field.
• Two years of post-bachelor’s experience with a mental health population.
• Meets NC requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 for Mental Health Qualified Professional; two years with children, adolescents & families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapeutic and skill-building interventions in school and community settings.
• Support behavioral functioning, coping skills, social skills, and educational success.
• Develop and implement Person-Centered Plans.
• Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.
• Collaborate with families, schools, treatment providers, and community partners.
• Provide psychoeducation related to mental health and substance use.
• Monitor client progress and coordinate transitions to appropriate services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Perform approved physical restraints when clinically necessary and in accordance with required training and organizational policy.
