Job summary

Constellation School Based Therapy is seeking a Speech–Language Pathologist to lead evaluation, planning and service delivery for students with identified needs in public schools.

You will administer screenings, coordinate IEP goals, design intervention strategies and document results. Travel between school sites may be required.

Strong communication with school teams, families and administrators is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have core knowledge of speech therapy as it relates to school-based practice.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language clearly and effectively.
• Experience coordinating IEP goals and school-based services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information needed to evaluate a child by reviewing records and communicating with the school team.
• Administers screenings in school-based settings and determines appropriate recommendations.
• Administers the evaluation process fully and administers appropriate assessment instruments and procedures.
• Interprets assessment results in developing or modifying speech therapy intervention plans.
• Plans and implements intervention strategies utilizing a continuum of service delivery models.
• Participates in the IEP process and collaborates with the school team.
• Communicates effectively with educators, parents and community members.
• Provides accurate documentation of assessment and intervention results.
• Facilitates transition among agencies, programs and professionals as service provision changes.
• May supervise Level I/Level II field work students.
