Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Concord, CA seeks a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and developmental differences in a supportive classroom setting.

Hours are in-person, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM, with pay between $22–$28 per hour based on experience. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required or must be willing to become certified within 90 days (training paid).

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM.

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years).
