Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Concord, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support for students with autism and developmental differences. The role focuses on building communication, social and life skills in a structured classroom.

Hours are in-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. RBT certification is required or obtainable within 90 days; a competitive hourly rate applies.

Qualifications

• RBT certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Required immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B) and TB clearance

Join a supportive, mission-driven team at Building Connections Academy (a special education nonpublic school with location in Concord and Martinez, CA), where we help students grow, learn, and build independence.

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
• Pay: $22-$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
