Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences in a classroom setting.

You will implement individualized programs, collect progress data, teach communication and social skills, encourage independence, and work under supervision of BCBA professionals.

Qualifications

• RBT certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance within 4 years

Join a supportive, mission-driven team at Building Connections Academy (a special education nonpublic school with locations in Concord and Martinez, CA), where we help students grow, learn, and build independence.

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM.
• Pay: $22–$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
