Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools in Sterling, VA, seeks a part-time School-Based General Resource Teacher to support reading interventions and assist classroom teachers at Guilford Elementary School.

The role focuses on assessing students, coordinating assessments, and providing targeted interventions while collaborating with staff to align services with the curriculum. Starting immediately, relevant licensure is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Three years of successful teaching experience.
• Virginia Collegiate Professional License or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess strengths and needs of students and share findings with parents and staff.
• Coordinate administration of assessments and monitor progress.
• Provide intervention to struggling students and support reading programs.
• Support and extend classroom instruction and coordinate with teachers and administrators.
• Lead professional development and coach teachers.
• Maintain knowledge of Virginia Standards of Learning curriculum in subject area.
• Attend collaboration meetings to provide aligned services.
