Job summary

Naugatuck Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral intervention to students under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans, collect data, and support communication, social, and adaptive skills in line with IEPs.

The ideal candidate holds current RBT certification from BACB and is ready to work in a school setting. Bachelor's or associate degree is preferred; strong collaboration and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
  • Provides one-on-one or small-group behavior support in classrooms and school settings.
  • Collects, records, and summarizes data on student performance and behavior.
  • Assists in generalization of learned skills across settings and people.
  • Applies de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies as trained.
  • Maintains a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborates with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent interventions.
  • Attends supervision meetings with BCBA and implements feedback.
  • Maintains professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Assists in preparing materials for instructional and behavioral programming.
  • Attends staff, department, and parent meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
