Job summary

Education Behavior Consultants (EBC) in Oakland is seeking a strong Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our school-based team. You will provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students in school settings, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with teachers and BCBA supervision to promote student progress.

The role requires effective communication, calm leadership, and the initiative to work independently while staying team-focused in fast-paced educational environments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with behavioral needs in a school setting.
• RBT credential preferred.
• Experience implementing behavior plans and working under BCBA supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to stay composed, flexible, and solutions-focused.
• High level of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through.
• Warm, coachable, and team-oriented, with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students in school settings.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and support strategies with consistency.
• Use reinforcement, prompting, behavior reduction strategies, and skill-building techniques in real time.
• Collect accurate session data and complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with school staff, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support students with regulation, communication, transitions, classroom participation, and social/emotional needs.
• Maintain professionalism in fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable school environments.
