Job summary

Education Behavior Consultants (EBC) is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Oakland team. You will provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students in school settings, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with school staff to support regulation, communication, transitions, and social-emotional needs.

The ideal candidate is proactive, calm under pressure, and capable of independent action while staying aligned with BCBA supervision.

Qualifications

Experience working with students with behavioral needs in a school setting.
RBT credential preferred.
Experience implementing behavior plans and working under BCBA supervision.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Professional, warm, and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students in school settings.
Implement behavior intervention plans with consistency.
Use reinforcement, prompting, behavior reduction strategies, and skill-building techniques in real time.
Collect accurate session data and complete documentation promptly.
Collaborate with school staff, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
Support students with regulation, communication, transitions, classroom participation, and social/emotional needs.
Maintain professionalism in fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable school environments.
