Job summary

West Hartford Public Schools is hiring a full-time Registered Behavior Technician at Bristow Middle School. The role involves implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, data collection, and collaborating with teachers to support academic and behavioral goals. Requires 40-hour training, BCBA supervision, and RBT certification.

Rate of pay is $30.00/hour with excellent benefits and supportive working conditions. Position available ASAP with standard school-year responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of required training including a 40-hour online course and supervision hours by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Must have passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment and recertification process.
• Must pass initial RBT examination and maintain ongoing certification.
• Applicant must be 18+ years old and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement student Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Maintain and report student records.
• Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress.
• Perform Physical Management in emergencies.
• Discharge duties in accordance with RBT Ethics Code.
• Support other pupil services staff to implement IEP goals.
