Job summary

Candor is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work in a school setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help students improve mobility, increase independence, and access their education through IEP-driven therapy services.

Qualified candidates hold an associate PTA degree, Texas licensure, and CPR certification. Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred, with flexible full-time/part-time/as-needed opportunities and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
• Current CPR certification
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Implementing therapy services and interventions outlined in student IEPs
• Assisting with therapeutic activities to improve mobility and participation in school
• Documenting student progress and maintaining service records
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, educators, and special education teams
• Assisting with adaptive equipment, positioning, and mobility recommendations
• Participating in ARD meetings and team discussions as appropriate
• Supporting a positive, student-centered educational environment
