Job summary

North Kansas City Schools EARLY EDUCATION CENTER – Gladstone, Missouri is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support students with special needs in an educational setting.

The role provides physical therapy services, collaborates with building staff, and focuses on functional independence for children in a specialized program. A Master’s degree and current PT license are required; prior school experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in physical therapy.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the applicable state.
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge and abilities to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist students by improving, developing or restoring functions impaired by illness, injury, or deprivation.
• Improve students’ ability to perform tasks for independent functioning.
• Support early intervention to prevent further impairment or loss of function.
• Participate in staff development as required.
• Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
• Maintain safety in practice and comply with district policies.
