Qualifications

• Required: Possess or qualify for immediate issuance of a valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate certificate endorsed as a Physical Therapist.
• BS degree from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program.
• Possess a valid license as a physical therapist in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and schedule caseload in cooperation with the school team.
• Adapt/modify equipment/materials for students with motor disabilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, peers, other support staff, parents and the community.
• Complete special education compliance paperwork, including evaluation reports and IEPs.
• Adapt the professional role of the PT to the public schools.
• Direct the activities of assigned non-certificated personnel.
• Attend or participate in required staff meetings and professional development.
• Participate in site-based decision-making processes.
