Job summary

Marlboro County Schools is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support students with disabilities in a least restrictive environment. The role involves developing and coordinating the district's PT program, evaluating student needs, and collaborating with parents and school staff.

The incumbent will participate in IEP development, design intervention plans, and train staff on safe PT practices within the school setting. Experience in pediatrics and educational settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduation from an accredited PT program.
• Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the school district's physical therapy program.
• Evaluate students' PT needs using tests and observations.
• Interpret assessment findings and communicate with parents and staff.
• Participate in development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Develop and implement intervention strategies.
• Train staff on safe PT implementation in classrooms.
• Plan transitions from school to community for students.
