Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-based Physical Therapist to support students in a Maryland school setting. The role focuses on assessing motor skills, planning individualized therapy, and delivering services that enhance mobility and functional performance within the educational environment.

Collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff, you will implement evidence-based therapies, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings to ensure goals are met and

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Maryland state license to practice physical therapy.
• Experience with pediatric students, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with school teams and families.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify motor skill deficits and physical challenges.
• Develop individualized IEPs based on assessment findings.
• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to improve strength, mobility, and coordination.
• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to each student.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into educational plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings to provide expert input and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, plans, progress notes, and sessions.
• Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports.
