Job summary

New Story Schools in Maine is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges. You will conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver therapy services to improve fine and sensory motor skills.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and an MDT to ensure goals transfer to daily activities, while maintaining documentation and compliant reporting. This position offers on-site work with strong team support and student-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and an active Pennsylvania OT license.
• Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children.
• Strong understanding of sensory integration and motor development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to meeting documentation and compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized IEP goals to improve fine and sensory motor skills.
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned students.
• Track and report student progress through documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote carryover of therapy goals.
• Maintain therapy materials and ensure timely, compliant reporting.
