Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help students ages 5–21 develop fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills for greater independence in learning.

You will work with teachers, families, and related service providers to design individualized strategies that support student success, deliver both direct and consultative services, and maintain compliant documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children.
• Strong understanding of sensory integration and motor development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to meeting documentation and compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized IEP goals to improve fine and sensory motor skills.
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned students.
• Track and report student progress through documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote carryover of therapy goals.
• Maintain therapy materials and ensure timely, compliant reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and an active Pennsylvania license

Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children
