Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help students ages 5–21 build fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills, enabling greater independence in learning and participation. You will join a team of educators, families, and providers to tailor individualized strategies for each student’s success.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, creating IEP goals, delivering direct and consultative therapy, and documenting progress to ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and an active Pennsylvania license.
• Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children.
• Strong understanding of sensory integration and motor development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to meeting documentation and compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized IEP goals to improve fine and sensory motor skills.
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned students.
• Track and report student progress through documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote carryover of therapy goals.
• Maintain therapy materials and ensure timely, compliant reporting.
