Job summary

Qualifications

• Active OT license/credential valid in Maine.
• Master's or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience with children or adolescents preferred.
• School-based or special education experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy, sensory processing, and developmental needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed.
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing OT services to students individually and in small groups.
• Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students' OT needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment goals and interventions.
• Supporting students with fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and visual-motor skills.
• Helping students develop functional self-care and classroom participation skills.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress toward goals.
• Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, and other professionals.
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student programming and goals.
• Recommending strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment to support student success.
• Maintaining student confidentiality and following all policies.
