Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students aged 5-21 with autism and developmental challenges. You will help build fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills while collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers to design individualized strategies for success.

Responsibilities include evaluations, developing IEP goals, direct and consultative therapy, progress documentation, and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and an active Pennsylvania license.
Minimum two years of occupational therapy experience, including one year with children.
Strong understanding of sensory integration and motor development.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to meeting documentation and compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and develop individualized IEP goals to improve fine and sensory motor skills.
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned students.
Track and report student progress through documentation and progress notes.
Collaborate with school staff and families to promote carryover of therapy goals.
Maintain therapy materials and ensure timely, compliant reporting.
