Job summary

KIPP Massachusetts seeks an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant to serve students across elementary and middle school grades. The role emphasizes social justice, cultural competency, and progress toward OT IEP goals in both special and general education settings.

Ideal candidates hold MA licensure or are pursuing it, with NBCOT certification preferred. The position includes a $1,000 signing bonus and annual $2,000 retention bonus, with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Experience driving student growth in a school setting.
• For OT applicants, Masters in Occupational Therapy is required; OTA requires an Associate’s degree.
• Licensed in MA or pursuing licensure; NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience with IEPs, 504s, and school-based OT services.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to maintain documentation.
• Successful background check requirement.

Responsibilities

• Create occupational therapy session plans.
• Report on quarterly progress for students with IEPs.
• Take data during occupational therapy sessions.
• Run individual and small-group OT sessions.
• Support self-care skills in line with OT goals.
• Consult for students in general and special education settings.
• If OT: complete student evaluations.
