Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist to conduct evaluations and develop IEPs, delivering direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.

You will collaborate with teachers and families to integrate strategies, recommend adaptive equipment, and maintain compliant documentation, with opportunities for ongoing professional support and development.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure in Illinois (ISBE/IDFPR).
• ISBE Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
• NBCOT Certification preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments of students' motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans.
• Provide direct OT services to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve accessibility.
• Maintain records in line with ISBE and IDEA guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on student independence strategies.
