The Gersh Organization is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT services for K-12 students in a Bronx setting. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support student participation and progress within the educational environment.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, development of intervention plans, and coordination with teachers, parents, and service providers to meet IEP goals. Strong clinical judgment and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated from NBCOT-recognized OT program.
• Currently licensed as an OTR/L in the hiring state.
• Minimum one year of pediatric school-based OT experience.
• Strong sensory processing knowledge.
• Experience with children with disabilities preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for student goals.
• Evaluates students using functional and standardized assessments.
• Develops and implements individualized education plans and IEP goals.
• Maintains documentation and reports on progress.
• Monitors sessions and ensures 85% attendance aligned with IEP.
• Provides training to staff and families.
