Gersh Autism in Brooklyn, NY seeks an Occupational Therapist to support students in K-12 settings. You will review outcomes, design intervention plans, and collaborate with teachers and families to promote participation in education and daily activities.

The role emphasizes evaluation, reporting, IEP alignment, and ongoing professional collaboration to support developmental goals for children with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an NBCOT-recognized OT program and completed fieldwork requirements.
• State OT licensure (OTR/L) in the hiring state.
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric/school-based OT experience.
• Experience with sensory processing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other disciplines to plan and deliver services.
• Evaluate students and develop/modify occupational profiles and intervention plans.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports and guide evidence-based interventions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary planning and IEP development/review.
• Teach and monitor educational staff, families, and students on OT goals.
• Maintain confidentiality, documentation, and scheduling; manage caseload and sessions.
