Job summary

Gersh Organization is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy support to students in K-12. The role collaborates across disciplines and requires clinical reasoning to ensure student safety and effective interventions.

The successful candidate will review outcomes, develop plans, and contribute to transition planning and exit strategies for students with disabilities. A minimum of one year of pediatric school experience and NBCOT-recognized education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited occupational therapy program recognized by NBCOT.
• Must possess State OTR/L Licensure in NY (or where hired).
• One year of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school/pediatric setting.
• Experience with sensory processing is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with disciplines to plan and deliver services.
• Evaluates student occupational performance and develops profiles.
• Generates written reports reflecting strengths and barriers to participation.
• Develops OT intervention plans based on evaluations.
• Participates in IEP meetings and team planning.
• Teaches and collaborates with school staff, parents, and students.
• Maintains documentation and confidence in confidentiality.
