Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in occupational therapy. NBCOT Certification and/or valid State Certification.
• Ability to work independently. Motivated and well-organized.
• Good communication skills with adults and students.
• Ability to service 3 school sites (Silver Springs, Fulton, Lanham).

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students based on IEP/ISP.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test and evaluate students when requested.
• Consult with teachers to align OT plans with educational needs.
• Communicate with parents regularly about progress and home activities.
• Create solutions to challenges for individual students using research and professional judgment.
• Refer to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
