Job summary

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting in Romulus, MI. You will help children develop fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills to succeed at school.

You will conduct evaluations, set goals, implement interventions, and collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to support individualized student plans. This role emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to school policies.

Qualifications

• Active OT license/credential for Michigan
• Master's or doctoral degree in OT from an accredited program
• Experience with children or adolescents preferred
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus
• Knowledge of pediatric OT, sensory processing, and developmental needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify OT needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment goals and interventions
• Support students with fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and visual-motor skills
• Help students develop functional self-care and classroom participation skills
• Monitor and document progress toward goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student programming and goals
• Recommend strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow school policies
