Job summary

Qualifications

• Current OT license in Michigan
• Experience with children in school settings
• Knowledge of IDEA and related educational practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficient in documentation, data analysis, and reporting
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students.
• Develop individualized intervention plans targeting fine/gross motor, visual-motor integration, self-care, etc.
• Provide direct OT services including individual and group therapy.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff and families.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records; complete required reports.
• Participate in IEPs, 504 plans, and other educational plans.
• Supervise/oversee COTA's.
• Stay current with best practices in school-based OT and implement interventions.
• Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuum of care.
• Maintain professional development and licensing requirements.
