Qualifications

• Computer competent for necessary documentation and correspondence.
• Maintain required trainings and certificates and provide documentation before expiration.
• Must be physically present at designated job site each scheduled work day.
• Regular and reliable attendance with ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat students who qualify for treatment under their IEP.
• Communicate student status and needs to families, teachers and other professionals.
• Maintain therapy files including data, attendance, progress, assessment and Medicaid reports.
• Schedule students according to their IEP timelines.
• Be familiar with school forms and procedures.
• Educate teachers, professionals and families about occupational therapy.
• Attend IEPs and meetings and refer to team members as needed.
• Develop and implement new programs to enhance services.
• Adhere to policies on safety, confidentiality and privacy.
• Demonstrate professional work ethic and motivation.
• Maintain computer skills for electronic record-keeping.
• Evaluate and adjust students' equipment/splints as needed.
• Document progress toward objectives.
• Collaborate with ISD and local staff, parents and agencies.
• Safely lift up to 40 pounds to assist students and move equipment.
