Job summary

Gersh Autism in Issaquah, WA is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide school-based therapy to K-12 students. The role collaborates with teachers, therapists, and families to develop IEP goals and transition plans, with an emphasis on functional participation and safety.

You will review outcomes, administer assessments, write reports, and implement evidence-based interventions. A WA OTR/L license and NBCOT certification are required, along with at least one year in a school or

Qualifications

• Must have completed NBCOT-recognized OT program and fieldwork.
• Must possess WA State OTR/L licensure.
• One year of experience in school or pediatric practice.
• Must have sensory knowledge.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student performance through evaluation and planning.
• Evaluates students and forms occupational profiles using assessments and observations.
• Prepares comprehensive reports reflecting strengths and barriers and directs program development.
• Develops intervention plans and participates in IEP and transition planning.
• Teaches and trains staff, families, and providers to support occupational participation.
• Maintains records and ensures confidentiality and professionalism.
