Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in Lakewood, WA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time, school-based role for the 2026–2027 school year. You will evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, provide OT services, and collaborate with families and school teams to support student participation in the classroom.

The role requires a valid state OT license (and NBCOT if required), experience with pediatric or school-based therapy, and familiarity with IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy (and NBCOT if required)
• Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy settings preferred
• Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and school-based service delivery
• Knowledge of sensory integration and development disabilities is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor OT services aligned with IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy using evidence-based approaches to promote independence and participation
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and families to integrate therapy goals in the classroom setting
