Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT services to K-12 students in Issaquah, WA. The role involves collaborating with educators and clinicians, reviewing outcomes, and adapting intervention plans to support student participation.

Ideal candidates have NBCOT credentials and WA licensure, with at least one year of pediatric or school experience and strong communication skills to engage families and school staff effectively.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an NBCOT-recognized OT program and fieldwork requirements.
• Must possess State OTR/L Licensure in WA State.
• Minimum one year of pediatric/school-based OT experience.
• Knowledge of sensory processing and IEP processes is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan student supports.
• Evaluate students using functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports reflecting strengths and barriers.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to transition planning when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate record-keeping and scheduling.
• Provide trainings for staff and families as needed.
