Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• OT must be licensed and certified by the Occupational Therapy Certification Board (OTCB).
• Minimum six months supervised experience; 1–3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and screen new students; document full description of performance and behavior relating to sensory processing and motor skills.
• Develop approaches and activities to help students participate in educational settings.
• Participate in staff development and parent workshops on gross and fine motor skills and perceptual skills.
• Supervise student interns as assigned and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Develop developmentally-graded activities to improve sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, and perceptual skills.
• Maintain required documentation and submit progress reports and IEP-related materials.
• Explain findings and program aims to parents and recommend home adaptations; maintain OT equipment and supplies; ensure compliance with school policy and procedures.
