Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy theories and evidence-based practice.
• Understanding of FERPA, Section 504, and education laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates the school district's OT program.
• Screens and monitors students for educational programming and therapy.
• Collaborates with staff to interpret student performance and needs.
• Writes reports detailing strengths and barriers to participation.
• Assists in development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention in school.
• Assesses need for assistive technology and equipment.
• Documents OT services and maintains records per policy.
• Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
• Coordinates continuing education for staff and students.
